5K Run and Duathlon

Saturday, November 26, 2011 - This will be the inaugural running of the "Poultry in Motion" Waco 5K Run and Duathlon. The Duathlon is going to be a really fun course to do. It starts off on the Herring Ave bridge walkway with a 5K run on the paved River Walk along the bank of the Brazos River, over the Washington bridge and back, passing by several of Waco's finest points of interest. The 9 mile bike course leaves from the transition area through Cameron Park and out onto Martin Luther King Blvd and back. Then, we end the event with a 2 mile trail run on the River Trail in the Cameron Park trail system and finishes at the Pecan Bottoms in Cameron Park.
There will also be an option to run just the 5K course.
The first 100 Duathlon registrants will receive a technical dry shirt. All others and the 5K Run registrants will receive a regular t-shirt. The post race will be filled with music, great food, and awards! Signup and work off your Thanksgiving Day bird!
